About The Swing Cats
For more than 14 years The Swing Cats have been bringing high-energy swing to stages, ballrooms and festival tents across Ireland. Fronted by vocalist Luke Thomas, the six-piece band pairs a full horn section with piano, double bass and drums for an authentic big-band sound that still fits on a hotel stage.
They have played the Olympia Theatre, Vicar Street and the National Concert Hall, appeared on RTÉ's The Late Late Show, starred in their own Virgin Media TV series alongside Phil Coulter, Paddy Cole and Twink, and are the resident band at the summer garden parties at Áras an Uachtaráin. Their album Dance With Me was Ireland's best-selling independent release of 2017.

The sound
Think Louis Prima, Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin and the Rat Pack — the dance-era classics of the 1940s and 50s, played with real horns and real swing. The band blends those standards with rock 'n' roll and swing-style reworkings of modern party anthems, so the dance floor works for every generation in the room.
They can play an elegant set for a drinks reception and then take the roof off for the main event, and DJ services are available to keep the night going between sets.
